Jeet

Updated OCTOBER 6, 2026· Fullport Capital

Definition

In crypto, jeet is memecoin slang for a trader who sells very quickly, often at the first small profit or first dip, and by extension anyone selling a coin others are still holding. Holders use it as an insult. In practice jeeting is taking profit early, and whether that is a mistake depends on the trade, not the label.

How is jeet used?#

You see it in coin chats and on trade feeds: "jeets dumped it", "stop jeeting". It is aimed at sellers by people who still hold, because every sell pushes a curve or pool price down. See bonding curve.

The opposite figures are the diamond hand, who never sells, and the bagholder, who held too long. The buyer who rushes in is the ape.

Is the word offensive?

Many people consider it offensive because of the way it has been used to mock South Asian traders, and some communities avoid it for that reason. We define it here because traders search for it, not to recommend it.

Is selling fast actually wrong?#

Often it is the disciplined choice. Many new memecoins fade within hours, and a profit taken is the only kind that counts on any account.

What matters is cost. On a pump.fun curve coin the percentage fees are about 4.5% per round trip at Fullport (1.25% venue plus 1% platform, in and out), before network fees and impact, so each quick flip needs to clear that.

Taking profit fast on a funded account#

Quick profit-taking is fully allowed; Fullport's rules list scalping and chasing momentum as normal trading. Realized profit is what moves you toward the +6% target, so a fast, clean exit counts straight away.

On the evaluation, the consistency rule asks for profit spread over more than one day. Practice exits on live coins in the browser terminal, with no wallet to start and from your phone. See when to sell a memecoin and the rules.

Quick answers

Is jeeting a good strategy?
It can be. Selling fast locks in profit on coins that often fade. It works best when the gain per trade comfortably beats the fees and price impact paid on each round trip, which rules out very tiny, very frequent flips.
Why do memecoin traders call sellers jeets?
Because every sell pushes the price of a thin curve or pool down, holders blame early sellers for weak charts. The insult signals impatience. Some people also consider the word offensive because of how it has been used against South Asian traders.
What does jeeting mean?
Jeeting means selling a memecoin very quickly, usually at the first small gain or the first dip, instead of holding. Holders use it as an insult, but it is often just early profit-taking.
