How does a 6% target compare with the floor?
Set against the 4% floor (see max drawdown), the standard target asks for $1.50 of profit for every $1 of room. That ratio, more than the percentage on its own, describes an evaluation.
What counts toward the profit target?#
- Realized profit. The pass check reads your cash after closed trades, so close a winner to count it. The pass registers when the account is flat.
- Net of costs. Venue swap fees, the modeled network fee, the 1% platform fee and your price impact are already deducted, so the number you see is the number that counts.
- At your own pace. There is no time limit.
On a standard evaluation the second condition is the consistency rule. No UTC day may be more than 55% of total profit, so the fastest standard pass is two profitable days. With the 1-Day Pass a single day can pass.
Prop traders used to deadlines and daily caps will find this simple: one step, no time limit, no daily drawdown, and the pass is detected automatically. The rules page has the exact wording, how evaluations work puts it in context, and the challenge cost calculator helps you plan.
Quick answers
- Do unrealized gains count toward the profit target?
- Not until you close them. At Fullport only realized profit counts, after all fees, and the pass registers on a flat account. Selling a position in profit moves it straight into the total.
- Is there a time limit to hit the profit target?
- Not at Fullport. The evaluation has no time limit, so you can take as long as you like to reach the target with the consistency rule satisfied.
- How much is a 6% profit target on a $50,000 account?
- $3,000 of realized profit, which means closing with a balance of at least $53,000. On Fullport's 1-Day Pass the target is 8%, so $4,000, taking the balance to $54,000.
