What to check on a dev wallet#
- Holdings. How much of the supply the deployer holds, and how much sits in wallets it funded. The second number is the one that gets hidden.
- History. The deployer's previous launches. A wallet that has created dozens of coins and sold each within hours is telling you its business model.
- Funding source. Where the deployer's SOL came from. Fresh wallets funded from an exchange or a mixer reveal less than a wallet with a public history.
- Behavior after launch. Whether the dev buys more, holds, or sells into the first wave of buyers.
How do you find a token's dev wallet?
Most trading terminals and launchpad pages show the creator address on the token page. On a block explorer it is the wallet that signed the token's creation transaction, and its holdings and history are public from there.
What does "dev sold" mean?#
It means the deployer wallet has sold some or all of its tokens. On a fresh coin that is often read as a strong negative signal: the person who knows most has left.
It is not always the end. A small sell can be cost recovery, and some coins are later taken over by their community. A full dev sale plus bundled supply still in linked wallets is the classic shape of a rug pull.
The dev is not the only insider to check. Linked wallets, early snipers and coordinated groups can hold more than the deployer; how to not get rugged covers all of them.
Dev wallets and Fullport's rules#
Fullport runs deployer-wallet checks as part of keeping its markets real. Two rules follow: you trade coins launched by others, not by you or wallets affiliated with you, and coins pumped by their own deployer are outside the tradeable set. See conduct.
Reading the dev wallet before an entry works the same way in the browser terminal or with Fullport Tap on the terminal you already use, with 80% of payouts to you once funded.
Quick answers
- What does dev sold mean?
- It means the wallet that deployed the token has sold some or all of its holdings. Traders read it as a strong negative signal on a new coin, especially when wallets the dev funded at launch still hold a large share.
- Can I trade a coin I launched on a Fullport account?
- No. Fullport accounts trade coins launched by others; tokens launched by you or wallets affiliated with you are outside the rules. Every other coin from pump.fun, Raydium LaunchLab and Meteora DBC is open to trade.
- How do you find the dev wallet of a token?
- Open the token on a trading terminal or launchpad page and look for the creator address, or find the creation transaction on a Solana explorer and take the signing wallet. Its holdings and past launches are public from there.
